In 1993 we brought out our first pair of gel padded bib shorts. 30 years later, they are still a staple of our collection. Now updated with recycled materials and an all new chamois.

A chamois is the heart of any bib shorts. When it comes to gel chamois, you know you’re in for a comfy ride. Combining 2 layers of foam with 1 layer of perforated gel for added comfort and excellent vibration dampening. Constructed from a 7 panel design for an anatomical fit, with all seams flat locked and covered for comfort next to the skin. The bib top has a tall coverage around the waist for extra coverage and support and is made from a lightweight, breathable mesh.

First Class Product and Company

I am a long distance cyclist and have been looking for a suitable pair of bib shorts for sometime. I have two Lusso Cycle jerseys that I purchased some 23 year ago and they are still going strong and in excellent condition so I decided to look at their current range of shorts. Perform Gel Bib shorts looked like they would do the job.
First impressions is that they are very well made and the marketing blurb trying to get you to buy them on the Lusso website is correct and a good description. The set pad, being of such high importance, is excellent and has actually been designed to a very good standard. I have compared the pad to another 'high end brand' and in my opinion, the Lusso pad is far superior, which surprising as the other brand shorts cost nearly twice as much.
On the first ride my expectations where met and surpassed. The ride was 80km, no gouch cream applied and all I can say is up 80km no cream was needed, very comfortable! Do I recommend them, absolutely yes! Comfort, build quality, materials used, price and my experience buying the shorts were all excellent. Come the weekend I will be testing them on a 200km ride, so far, it should be a very comfortable ride.
