For ample warmth in the coldest of winter months look no further than the Paragon Deep winter base layer 2.0, with a neck buff sewn in.

Sewn together using Polartec's POWER GRID™️ technical fleece, this base layer will keep you warm and dry without the bulk. The soft inside surface is hydrophilic to absorb sweat vapour and the micro grid design creates open air channels allowing the moisture to be transported more quickly, improving breathability.

The high neck can be pulled up to be worn as a buff or folded over as a turtle neck as the temperature rises.

Inferior to the original in every way

I loved my first Paragon Deep Winter Base Layer so when the 2.0 came out I bought it straight away.
The old one was so comfortable, I would wear it around the house when it was chilly. I would wear it cycling to work in the winter and wear it all day as I work outside, I never got sweaty in it or felt hot when in a warm canteen or driving a machine. The neck gaiter kept your neck warm and even chin if you pulled it up, yet when you dropped it down you didn't really notice it.
This 'update' however was very disappointing. Not as comfortable against the skin, not as stretchy. too loose at the wrists, too tight at the neck, feels clammy when you get warm, doesn't wick away the sweat as well.
Please bring back the old one!

Love the fit and functionality.

Snug and comfortable fit. Not cold enough to wear riding as yet. Certain it will serve a great role in keeping chin and cheeks warm. X
