Bib Tights. The cornerstone of four-season cycling.

In cycling “doing things the old fashioned way” conjures images of red wine in bidons and leather toe straps. It turns out that broadly the contemporary equivalents of isotonic drinks and clipless pedals are better.

There are some areas, however, where we think there’s still a place for the old fashioned way, and the Lusso Traditional Bib tights are just that.

They’re a pad free, cold weather bib tight with foot straps instead of cuffs. They’re designed to be worn over the top of your favourite shorts. No riding up, no slipping down.

We’ve gone for a fleece lined roubaix fabric which does use (admittedly modern) water repellent (DWR) treatment to keep the worst of the weather off and we’ve reinforced the knee with a double layer for extra cold and wind resistance. As with all Lusso DWR treatment it’s completely PFC free - great for you, even better for the environment.

Finally, reflective detailing on the calves help keep you visible and the roubaix upper bib top keeps everything in place, adding extra warmth without stopping your torso layers from doing their job.

A Lusso classic, made properly, right here in Manchester.

Well made and ideal over padded shorts

I've worn Lusso tights for several years. They are well made, very durable, comfortable and keep you warm in the advertised range of 0 to 10C. I wear them over padded shorts. Recently I was hit by a wall of water when a motorist drove through a large puddle at high speed. The DWR finish shrugged off the water, keeping me warm and dry. I have also reproofed an older pair and they too have remained showerproof.

Thanks Roger! Glad they are living up to expectations.

Classic bib tights

Very comfortable in wet cold conditions, the strap around the foot keeps them in place and having no pad gives you the benefit of an extra layer by wearing your preferred shorts. Lusso tights are the best I own.

Replacement for Lusso Repel..

Very happy with the new bib-longs having had Lusso ‘Repel’ for a long time. They have a double layer over the knee area which works nicely and i like the stirrup type straps for under the feet. It’s great to buy from a UK based company.
I am 6’2” with 34” inside leg, 80kg and thought that XL would be ok but too tight for me but XXL works well. Exchange handled very well - Thanks

I bought some Altera as these was out of stock...

I bought some Altera ones as these was out of stock at the time. Well that was a bloody big mistake. I should have just waited as that was 100 quid down the pan. Back in the Lussos and happy
